The man who inspired my story.
My Dad and his 5 siblings grew up at Karoola. Their Dad Victor Hill died at the age of 30 when Dad was 7 months old leaving their 26 year old Mum to raise 6 children. Their Mum didn't cope very well so they were raised by their Grandmother Elizabeth Hill (nee Goodyer).
My Grandson Jasper is one of the 1st people to get his hands on my book.

I am the third of four children: Maree, Bevan, me, and Lindy.
Elizabeth Hill (nee Goodyer) and Thomas David Hill Dad's Grandfather Thomas was the son of Charles Hill and Kezia Powell who departed Liverpool England on 12th July 1855 on the ship the Conway which arrived in Hobart on 14th October 1855.Thomas was conceived on the voyage and born not long after on 31st March 1856 in Launceston.
